I am a Tampa Bay photographer and a published short story writer. I purchased my first “real camera”, an Olympus OM10 35mm, in the early 1980s, and moved to digital in 2001 by way of a Sony 4 mega pixel, awaiting the birth of my daughter. Today, I shoot with a Canon, studio lights and all the bells and whistles.
I wrote and published my first collection of short stories in 2003, details of which can be found at Writer Ron Slaton. The 520 page manuscript was so large for an unknown author that my 1st Books (now, Author House) rep suggested I split it in two.
After moving to Florida, in 2005, I decided that the creative world was the place for me and I have been loving it ever since. Florida is a great place to grow and create.
